Atmosphera BG produces dry ice at its own technical facility equipped by ColdJet, the world’s leading company in this field. The dry ice is supplied in special packaging that ensures that the dry ice is protected in transit.
ATMOSPHERA BG has the most up-to-date dry ice production equipment available on the global market. The combination of its own up-to-date production and storage facility, its perfect new production equipment and its qualified and experienced staff are a guarantee of the high quality of the dry ice produced.
The ColdJet dry ice production equipment is designed and impeccably manufactured to press the CO2 supplied into the most compact dry ice. With the company’s knowledge of dry ice accumulated over decades, the product has a longer shelf life, improved means of transport and cooling and improved characteristics for jet blasting (see: www.ecocleanprobg.com).
ColdJet dry ice pellet production machines produce compacted granules/pellets of varying sizes (from 3 mm to 19 mm). The additional new, up-to-date dry ice block production equipment adds to the range of dry ice package sizes with yet another type of high-quality product. From pellets to blocks, the ColdJet dry ice machines provide the greatest possible number of solutions to offer uncompromising quality and an excellent result for end customers.
The excellence of ColdJet includes:
Dry ice can be supplied to customers in the amounts required, suitably packaged for transport and storage, in two main varieties:
- pellets
- blocks
Further information about dry ice blasting technology
Dry ice blasting uses recycled CO2 in the form of solid particles (pellets), ejected through high-speed nozzles by means of compressed air onto the surface to be cleaned. The combination of the kinetic and heat energy of the dry ice breaks the bond between the contaminant and the object cleaned. The dry ice particles turn into gaseous form on contact with the contaminant. They sublimate, literally making the contaminant disappear without trace and without any secondary waste from the blasting agent. The most important result is high-quality cleaning without any risk of damage to the clean surface. In this blasting process the contaminant literally evaporates and is eliminated without trace.
Dry ice systems use less raw materials, energy and air than any other blasting system on the market. They only require a minimum of maintenance, leaving customers free to focus on their main area of business without wasting valuable time on non-intrinsic activities like cleaning and exposing their workers to the unhealthy effects of the chemicals used in conventional cleaning methods.
Uses of dry ice blasting
With the effectiveness, broad range of application and high quality obtained by dry ice blasting, customers can improve their profits as they will no longer have to spend innumerable hours cleaning with rags and sandpaper and scraping and cleaning with chemicals and solvents. Dry ice blasting systems do not produce any secondary waste.
The broad range of uses of dry ice blasting systems make this method universal while ensuring a high quality service. Dry ice blasting is suitable for use in industry, energy generation, telecommunications, post-disaster rehabilitation of infrastructures and equipment, building restoration, preserving and maintaining works of art and museum exhibits, etc.
Dry ice blasting can be used for electrical switchboards, transformers and live insulators, eliminating the need to cut off the power supply (as dry ice does not conduct electricity), ensuring uninterrupted service to public utility consumers.
Using dry ice for general facility maintenance
Dust, soot, grease and oil and all kinds of contaminants that build up on production facilities result in incorrect machinery operation and can create an unhealthy and hazardous working environment and an increased risk of technical failure. Effective cleaning lengthens the service life of the equipment, reduces or eliminates the need for expensive repairs and problems related to replacing or renting external equipment.
Dry ice jet blasting equipment provides a solution for quick, safe, non-toxic, non-abrasive, non-conductive and inexpensive cleaning of all kinds of facilities, industrial equipment, machine tools and production line equipment, eliminating the need for disassembly and/or moving the cleaning equipment. Every part of the production process can be cleaned in the course of work with no need for cooling or cutting off the power supply beforehand.
As dry ice particles are relatively soft and non-aggressive in comparison with other blasting materials (such as sand and slag), they offer gentle, but highly effective non-abrasive cleaning that improves the appearance of the equipment and extends the service life of your assets. It can also be used for effective cleaning without damaging the surface, even in the case of serious contamination by chemicals, paint and petroleum products, including of delicate equipment with sensitive areas such as sensors, circuit boards, detectors, electrical equipment, automated systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, cables, etc
